INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

- The International Journal of the «Proctological and Perineal Diseases» will consider good articles for pubblication on topics pertaining the Colonproctology, Urology, Gyneacology, Andrology and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction.

 Original articles, editorials, brief but relevant reports, description of an innovative technical detail, 

 notes on diagnostic, rehabilitative and surgical techniques will be considered for pubblication.

 Books and monography reviews, simposium proceedings, letters to the Editor are accepted for pubblication.

 -All articles are reviewed by two or more referees of the Scientific Board.

Acceptance is based upon originality and validity of the material presented.

 -The Editor and publisher disclaim any responsability or liability for statements and opinions expressed in the articles and communications.

 -An original and three copies of all material, including illustrations, should be submitted.

  Use double spacing throughout.

Place page number in the upper right corner of each page. The first page of the manuscript must contain: title, Author(s)' name, individual address to whom reprint requests are to be addressed and when the work was done.

On the second page a summary of 200 words at least in English key words should be provided.

 -The next page must contain: a brief but exhaustive introduction.

 -Materials and Methods.

 -Results.

 -Discussion.

 -References: references should be numbered serially in the text, and listed on a separate sheet, double-spaced, at the end of the paper in that order. Each reference should include: author(s)' name and initials, title of article, journal name, volume number, including pages, and date.

Abbreviations should be conform to the style used in the Cumulate Index Medicus.

For books each reference should include: Author(s), title, published name, city of the publication, volume, pages and year.

 -Tables: tables should be typed on separate pages from the text, and numbered with roman numerals. Provide a brief title for each.

 -Illustrations: illustrations (original and two copies) should be numbered with arabic numerals 

  (in the order of their mention in the text) and marked lightly on the back with the Author(s)' name and an arrow to indicate top edge.

 -Do not send original x-ray and films. Original drawings or graphes should be drawn in India ink, 

   and be 11 cm. in width and 16 cm. in lenght at the most.

  Glossy photographs are preferred; black and white contrast is essential. Suitable legends should be

   typewritten, double-spaced on a separate sheet of paper and included at the end of the manuscript.

 -Illustrations unsuitable for publications will be remade by the Editor at Author(s)' expense.

 All articles will be accepted only if the material has not been previously published or submitted

   elsewhere for publication.

 -All published articles are written under Author(s)' responsability. All manuscripts are under the copyright

   of the Publishing Company, and they cannot be published anywhere else without written permission

   of the Editor.

Editorials will be requested to Author(s) by invitation of the Scientific Board, and should be a maximum

  of 20 typewritten sheets plus illustrations, graphes and tables.

-Reprints: Reprints of articles must be ordered directly through the Publisher.
